The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 一直很喜欢这部动漫，今天终于有了剧场版资源马上就看了，画风真的好了很多很多啊，脖子那里也没有阴影了，西条高人还是那么帅那么美丽，蠢太也还是那个发情天使哈哈哈
剧场版在剧情上差了一点，但是没有了死亡阴影看着顺眼多了。西条高人这样的爱人可太棒了！

确实亲密戏份很少，跳舞也基本没展现出来，不过祖父真好看啊
蠢太的外祖父儒雅俊帅，让人记忆深刻。通过新剧需要学习西班牙弗拉明戈展开故事，高人跟蠢太的心意更加相通，里面的副cp（国际歌手x腹黑监制）也很带感。
劇場是延續了動畫版，算是兩人正式面對自己面對彼此的續作吧。最後高人對蠢太說的話非常讓人感動。正因為想永遠的在一起，所以兩人更需要成長而不能光只是黏在一起。愛情本來就是要讓雙方面得更好。主題曲非常好聽，聽得我落淚，太感動了。
好久没看到这么超验又这么笃定的电影了，我们需要在电影节用大银幕重新打开触觉。不断下探，直至死亡的深度，直至洞中一无所有，房中空无一物。小小的愕然过后，是长久的宁静，在未知的黑暗中，肉身是比光更值得依托的存在。风带走人的呼喊，宇宙拂去人的踪迹，绘图员搁笔走入大雾中，与世间的一切事物相逢。

本届北影节字幕员最省心的一部片。一度以为字幕员趴桌上睡过去了～
探险世界第三深洞，消减叙事让位于纯粹的画面表意，以及绝美的风景和狭窄深渊的高难度摄影。并行探险队探测和当地牧羊老人，进入-远观-探索-苏醒-呼唤-接收，在自然雾霭中实现交流。沉睡的自然洞穴被外来者唤醒，正如电视机里的流行文化成为通向世界的唯一窗口，和“洞”一起成为相互探索的连接点。
哈哈哈哈整篇透露出制作的贫穷。这个系列建议不要继续拍了。
剧情一般，很多大场景缺乏细节。但两人的感情和西班牙的异域风情足以隐藏许多缺点。在这个不能自由流动的时节看，更加珍贵。
成功不是将来才有的，而是从决定去做的那一刻起，持续累积而成。
“Mi tesoro”，希望也能找到把彼此当做宝藏的人。西班牙选址也太棒了，刻板形象中一直是个即使悲伤也都热烈鲜艳但不失克制的独特国度，无数次心动:建筑(每期都很绝的建筑素描 世界建筑某期巴萨罗那城市微更新)、美食和电影(痛苦与荣耀)，现在加上西条和蠢太的浪漫故事，真的是除却史诗废墟的意大利最有好感的国家，而且更有活力。“为了今后能永远一起生活下去，我们不能永远待在一起，但是我绝对会回到你的身边，而你，也要回到我的身边”，清风白云并肩顶峰的山盟海誓真的感动哭了，天真永不消散浪漫至死不渝。今天是本人的520了，看了好多甜番♥️🍁♥️🍁

北影11#6啊太牛逼了！全片不超过十句对白，但后半部分特别抓人。太舒缓心灵了。一个人683米的深洞扎进了平静的乡村，周围全是牛脖铃的声音和山间不时的气候变化。到洞底时，老人也死了，那是城市的代价。
